Entity-relationship diagrams - I find the hardest part of this is picking out the pairs that have the direct relationships, because I have to stop thinking literally and making it more confusing for myself, but after I chose the pairs I find the rest of the process come naturally to me probably because ive had to do it so much in the past. However i do prefer the new way of creating the tables and showing the relationships.
Importing into Access - I find this extremely easy because youy have a wizard to help you and everything is plainly labelled so you know what your doing, the only thing i may struggle with is determining myslef if any of the field types need changing.

My presentation outlines everything i plan to do in the next year, the reasons for doing it, how im going to do it, what i need to do it, who is involved, and information about several trips im going to have to make to complete my project.
My pitch went very well, I didn't quite stick to my notes but i think what i said was better and showed my real views and opinions on my project. I was nervous but managed to say everything i needed and made it slightly humerous also (it always helps to make people laugh). My presentation was appreciated, i put a lot of effort and thought into making it correspond with my notes accordingly and added basic animation which seemed to go down well. I'm glad I seem to have done well because i have put a lot of thought and effort into my project so far and i'm hoping that my effort in the furture will make my project as good as i can get it.
I learnt that i cant set my goals too high and need to stop people pleasing everybody, its more about my grade than anything else!

My pitch said,
" Help your children develop an understanding of different cultures
Basic french for children
speak, read, write and discover another language
I can speak french
pouvez-vous? (can you?)
It took me ages and several attempts to come up with this pitch, i was stuck on what too say and couldn't put across how i was going to teach the children french. the first time i showed it to Mr W and Mrs H i got a cross because i hadn't included why the children should learn french. However the second time i included why they should and got a tick, meaning it was adequate enough to move on.
I'm quite pleased with my pitch and it helped me develop some ideas in my head about what im going to do. I chose the age group that i did because i have sisters the same age as my target audience and i know what they find interesting and fun at the same time, and i understand how they are taught things. I hope i do as well in the next pitch. . .

I decide where the bsses go depending on how near each location is where the children are; for example i wouldnt send one bus to pick up some children at Worthing then travel all the way to Ipswitch. I would go to Worthing then any nearer destinations such as Brighton or Sothampton. Any bug going to Ipswitch will only go to one other destination other than Ipswitch, for instance Lewisham, Newham, or Brentwood, as they are on the way to Ipswitch and it wouldn't harm to pick the children up so long as there was room in the bus. Then with the time table i set a random trial start time and add five minutes onto each stop time then see how much over or under 12:00 Oclock they arrived at Crawley, then if the bus was early i would add on the exact amount of time they were early, for examply 20 minutes onto the original departure time and add on five minutes each time like normal. If the time was over the requested arrival time i would take away the exact time i was over from the original departure time and add five minutes to each destination as usual, so far i have tried four different senarios and each bus has arrived exactly at 12:00 Oclock, so far it seems to be working, but i dont think my map stategy is going too well i still need to figre that out.

I am extremely dissapointed with my result again but i can hardly complain because i should spend more time going over the class work and revise more often, i think for a change i did better with my calculations in this exam than Mr holmes work which i need to practise more often. I made lots of silly mistakes which cost me the few marks i needed to pass. Im going to try harder too pass, im aiming to not get another U. Science Surgery here i come!

A CRM database is a programme produced to track employees sales and wether or not certain products are selling successfully. This monitors the businesses overall performance, and gives the employees help with identifying which area of the business need to be adjusted, for example use advertisement or a sale to sell more of a certain product that wasn't selling very well originally.
You can find out which customers purchase which type of product most commonly, also which product is the customer favourite, you also can us a query to decide wether or not a product needs replacing with a new and more exciting one. There are many things that you discover about sale trends using CRM and queries.
A database can be used to find out what is selling successfully, what isn't, where things are selling best, which staff member is selling the most produce ect.
Are there any products that are not selling well?
Which product is selling the best?
What product type does your customer mostly purchase?
Do you need any new products you could introduce to replace unsuccessfull products?
Is a sale needed to increase the selling rate of certain products?
Would a deal (e.g. 10% off a holiday) increase the selling rate of the skiboard products?
Which products sell the best each month?
Which areas sell the best/worst?
Which product is most popular with each gender?

The type of person who would visit this site will be people who don’t really have a social life, people who love spending all their spare time glued to the settee with a can of coke in one hand and a takeout on the way. (Basically me on a Saturday)! Usually the customers would buy DVD’s but there’s also music and logo merchandise available so what ever takes people’s fancy really. Any aged person who likes chilling out watching their favourite film.

“Estimates of abandoned shopping carts on e-commerce sites ranged from 65% to 80% in year 2000.” (http://www.redhillmoodle.org.uk/file.php/17/NNg_ecommerce_usability_study.pdf)
I like this quote because it is realistic. It shows poeple how often people abandon their attempt to shop online for one reason or another, this suggests that there is room for improvement on all online shopping sites. Personally ive abandoned my shopping basket many times, simply because i got irritated with the services, or decided i didnt want what i had chosen afterall.
"The 14% lower success rates for European users occurred even though we recruited only test users who could read English. If we had tested people with lesser English-language skills, the results would have been abysmal."
Personally ive never had a problem understanding the language used by the sites i browse because the majority of them are English, however once i had to search on google for a converter because the prices were given in dollars. But i expect that for those who dont speak english, shopping online on british sites that do not have an adaptable language feature would be near impossible.
