My project so far converts pounds into euros, and euros into pounds. Also my project uses hyperlinks to take you from the home page, to the correct converter, the receipt page amd from all those back to the home page. I could improve on working a bit faster to make the receipt and the print out buttons. I could also try and use up more of the space that's left by making more buttons and hyperlinks to fill it. I could also think about adding more conversions into different currencies such as dollars ($).
I have worked quite well with the calendar plan as i have been following it and it has helped me to remember what i need to do and finish.
I have made my project user friendly by using a lot of hyperlink buttons to take them from page to page easier and quicker. I have also made the conversion automatic, so when they put in their amounts, its will change without them having to do anything.
User friendly means something thats easy to understand and operate.
I could improve it by making it more colourful, but still user friendly and easy to read. Instead of having a white background, i could change that to something bright and then make the text a colour which is easy to read on the background. I could also add a few extra buttons.

My project is a calculator that gives the user a quote on how much solar panels would be for their specific roof size and their preferred choice of solar panel. My project is right for me because i feel strongly about renewable energy and i feel that people can cut down on their carbon footprint significantly. Also i think that we are most likely to progress with solar power than with other kinds of renewable energy.

Progress so far...
1st November
So far i have researched what project i wanted to and have chosen a company to work with. I have decided the audience and i have looked at alternative projects and critisised them and said how this can make my project better. I have thought about the aims of my project and said how i can stick to these by following my project diary. I have also said how my project can be easy to access and said how it can't be seen, and i have also started my home page of my project.
11th November
So far i have finished designing and making my home page includingthe logo, buttons and hyperlinks when you click on the button to a different sheet. Also i have finished designing the Calculator Page, the Reciept Page, and the Information Page however i have not put any content onthe last two pages. I have also almost finished the calculator page including the table and all the formulars such as VLookup and the drop down list.
8th December
So far i have finished my homepage and the calculator page. Last lesson I worked on my reciept page which i have nearly finidhed. By now according to my plan i should have just finished my macros which i had done on the 22nd November. This means that i am working well ahead of schedule. Also i have done the list of things to do on the 'Design it, Build it, Test it' part in the written coursework. I have also decided to put in a discounted price of 20% when the price is over £75,000 using the IF Function which was not on my original plan but i had spare time. Today I also had to do some research into how to create a print macro button which prints out a certain area.
16th December
I have now finished my reciept page as well as all the formulae on it that coreessponds to the other worksheets so it shows the same information. Also i have made a start oon the information page on my sstem. This gives spme background information to the user about solar power and the Energy Saving Trust. I have now found all the information for this page from the internet so now i just have to edit it and then put it into my information page.
19th January
For the past month i have been working on my written coursework and on my system i have made a start to put information on the info page but i am having trouble as i had too much information so i had to cut some information out iand i solved it.

I have completed all the tasks including: Features of Real Draw, Microsoft Publisher and Paint.NET , Accuracy Information , Analyse It , Design it, Build it, Test it , Project Navigation, Questions, Hardware, Test Plan and Document it. I think that i have covered each section in depth to recieve the highest mark. In deisgn it build it test it i have done a test plan on buttons in my Npower Presentation and they all work well. I also have done the build and design on my project which includes a review of my progress as i worked. On analyse it i have gave ideas on what the topic of my presentation could be about. when i chose the subject on renewable energy, I answered questions about aims of my project. Ihave used a presentation on the internet and described its benefits and drawbacks. This helped me to realise how i could make my project better. My document it has a complicated set of instructions which was version one and is are not very good and then a better set of instructions which is more simpler which is version two.

I Have Done...
Research- I have Researched on the Npower website as well as the energy star and the energy savind trust ones. Because of this i have made a project that has met my specifications in information.
Background- I have made a red and white background which are the colours of the Npower company, therefore it will be recognisable without the logo.
Top Bar- I have made the top bar which has the company logo and also a hyperlink to the official Npower Juice Website.
Bottom Navigation Bar- I have made the bottom Navigation Bar which has all the buttons to go to different points in the project. Also this shows which page you are on by the colour.
Hyperlinks- I need this to link all the buttons on the slides together so you can easily go through the project without any information.
Layout- I have done all the pictures and text which i have layed out in a certain way to avoid confusion.
Pictures- I have got all the pictures i need for my presentation so just in case if the audience does not know what a particular slide is about, if they see the pictures, they will know
Animation + Slide Transitions- This is essential to make my presentation look good and because of the way things fade on and off the screen, it makes it more enjoyable.

This software is good for debating and getting your ideas across. Also, by looking at other people's posts you can learn from it.
Inkscape is good for designing and making logos and making pictures your own by putting effects on it. On the other hand if you are new to the software it could be very confusing to know how to do certain things and know where certain things are. However, this problem could be resolved as there are in-program tutorials which you can use to using Inkscape.
Real draw (in my opinion) is better than Inkscape because i find it easier to make certain things to happen such as change coulours and change effects. Also, i found it kind of easy to locate things in Real Draw than in Inkscape.
