We have just arrived at our hotel after 33 hours without sleep. When we left the airport to find our bus, we were harrassed by around 30 men who wanted us to take their taxi and tried grabbing our bags to carry. Unfortunately, this wasn't an act of chivalry, moreso an act of who could get the money from the tourists first!
Following this excitement, was the excitement of the bus journey. It resembled something like a rollercoaster of bumper cars all threatening to crash into one another.
On our safe arrival at our hotel, we dumped our bags and went off to take in some of the area's sights and smells and then headed up to St Thomas' to see the students rangoli art: metre squared artwork made by pouring different coloured powder into patterns.
Tomorrow we will head to the school to meet everyone formally.
