started chemistry A2 course late so hard to judge yet how i'm doing.

working steadily through textbook on my own, target to finish the chapters missed before half term and catch up QUICK.

also revising things learned before the end of last year, all seems familiar so not too worried... yet.

I have completed my revision on naming different alkenes and alkanes as well as drawing them out in the various methods ie displayed formula and also some of thr reactions they take part in. This is has been usefull basis to my revision so i can move onto revising the various reactions and mechanisms. My revision hasnt been alot yet due to pressure from other other sujects mostly being maths which is a bit of  a priotiy due to it being on the 20th and 2nd however after this i will be doing alot more revision for chemistry and i also have the half term to make sure i have everything done by the exam.

revsion assessment

I am struggling with key definitions and specific facts such as conditions for certain reactions, I have tried revising with flash cards which has helped for some areas such as mechanisms. Another key area I need to revise is polymers. For harder areas such as alcohols and green chemistry such as global warming. I have recntly revised oxidation which is becoming more clearer to me. thanks :)

Confident With: Production of ethanol, Properties of alcohols, reactions of alcohols.

Revised Recently: Alcohols (above)

Method of Revision: Spider diagrams, reading through notes.

Need to revise:Ozone depletion and catalytic converters.

revision plan

most confident with: isomerism etc.

recently revised: formation and depletion of ozone.

revision method: copied out pages from text book with examples.

less confident area: mechanisms for nuclephilic substitution and electrophilic addition, as well as radical substitution.

revision technique: keep drawing them out until I remember them.

I think that i need to practice the more longer structed questions and i need to do more practice calculations. Also i need to know the key definitions and facts
