I think that near the beginning I struggled with the concept of entity-relationship diagrams, however through continuously practicing and covering them I have gained a relatively accurate understanding of them and now know the steps used to create one and can copy this process. I can now split the process into its stages and figure out the relationship between each entity

With importing into access I found that contructing and maintaining the tables were simple and that I have an adequate understanding of them after the explanation has been given to me

My presentation used in my five minute pitch outlined my project, what it will deliver, its benefits and risks, what it must do, its overall impact and the target audience and age as well as various other aspect. It outlined how I would cover my project and how I would build it
My presentation outlined how I see my project and how I will approach completing it through the use of various resources.
I received praise for my presentation and I believe overall it went well however there were critical points that I could improve upon, which reflects in my mark for the pitch of the project overall.
I learnt various improvements to my pitching skills but also the criticism of my presentation could be used to further refine it and overall my project, I have been introduced to new points to consider.
The pitch will be relayed to the client in the meeting by showing the notes/presentation itself, pointing out how I presented this and that and what critical points were made against me.

Unit 3 (exam) strategy

April 22, 2010 by Ashley   Comments (0)

The bus routes have been planned out according to effectively pick up the correct amount of people in a set amount of time. Firstly there needs to be a check on restrictions to the routes and destinations, then when the amount of people being picked up has been clarified the busses can set out on the routes that have been defined for them. All four busses have been used to minimize the amount of stops that need to occur, however depending on who needs to be picked up and where not all of them may be used, the strategy changes accordingly. The bus routes stay mostly apart, however two routes mix together due to their destinations requiring such. This strategy should allow all four busses to arrive around about twelve, preferably before and not requiring passengers to wake up unfairly early.

The first few weeks

September 21, 2009 by Ashley   Comments (0)

Looking back through the first few weeks, I can say that it has certainly been interesting. The lessons kept my attention through the weeks and the work we've begun to do is very interesting, as I've never done work based on it before. However we have already begun to write an essay and I felt a bit rushed at first, as between the two teachers, the pace seemed to differ.

Target: To keep a consistant pace with my work and to manage my time accordingly
