expages:reflecting on your learning

Here are some ideas to help you get the most out of reflecting on your learning:

  • How well do I think I have done recently?
  • Which bits was I best at?
  • What did I find difficult?
  • What things do I need to improve on?
  • What have I learnt recently?

Going further: For each thing you have written, think about…

  • How do I know?
  • What have I done that tells me this?
  • How long it took?
  • My confidence with it?
  • My enjoyment?

Regularly reflecting will help you to:
  • understand what you have studied better
  • celebrate your successes
  • recognise weaknesses that need addressing
  • discuss different aspects of the courses you are studying
  • share your thoughts and ideas with others
  • connect to other students and teachers
  • look back over your learning to see how you have progressed
